Self-Reliance 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Fair

August 18th, from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

All People’s Life Center

Volunteers needed

(3) From 9am -12pm to assist with set up and helping some of our attendees around that are in wheelchairs or blind

(4) From 12pm - approx. 4pm to help serve lunch help the attendees around as mentioned earlier and then breakdown the tables at the end of the event. 

Volunteer age limit is 16 with a parent

Dress code is casual attire (i.e. jeans, t-shirt, sneakers).

 

Volunteers will be helping to set up and break down tables; so they must be able to bend and lift with ease. Also they may be asked to help push a wheelchair or assist a mobility challenged guest at the event.

Self-Reliance, Inc. Center for Independent Living (CIL) is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) www.self-reliance.org). Their mission is to promote independence through empowering persons with disabilities and improving the communities in which we live. Self-Reliance is a cross disability agency providing services to both children and adults with disabilities (regardless of age and type of disability) to identify and overcome barriers to independence in their lives. There is no charge for services. Our goal through this year's 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Fair is to provide disability awareness, education and resources through networking with the whole community. This event will be geared to a population Self Reliance serves on a daily basis throughout Hillsborough County.
