IF YOU DO NOT RSVP FOR THIS EVENTYOU CAN NOT BE GUARANTEED TRANSPORTATION TO THE PARADE!!! CUT OFF FOR SIGN UP WILL BE WED, Nov 4th by 5 pm!!  (sign in to website and it will be on the right side of the page as you login)

 

CATCH THE FLOAT: OUR LOCATION WILL BE THE PARKING LOT OF TJ MAX AT THE CORNER OF HILLSBOROUGH AND HANLEY.  THE ADDRESS IS 7555 W. HILLSBOROUGH AVE.  BE SURE TO PARK AWAY FROM THE STORE CLOSER TO THE STREET. 

 

NOTE WE WILL BE LEAVING PROMPTLY AT 8:00AM -  

SO, WE ARE AT THE PARADE LINEUP BEFORE THE ROAD CLOSES.

 

We're kicking off the parade season! The Annual Tampa Bay Veterans Parade is a great way to honor our Veterans, and it's also a good opportunity for our new members to learn how to parade!   Consider this “Parading and Partying 101".   We will help our Newbies finish dressing, so come with your skirt and blouse on and we will help rangle you into your corset. Get your pixie dust on and you will be ready to go!

 

We will accept guest Veterans for this parade: Please contact me at president@kreweofagustina.org if you wish to bring a veteran to ride the float. I will need their name and t-shirt size. Please get it to me as soon as possiable.

 

Breakfast item and/or champagne and OJ (or any other adult beverage NO GLASS) will be provided.  We will have water and colas on the float. Please send an email to Libation committee if you would like to donate an item for this event.

 

Pre-Parade 7:00am to 8:00am:  
Agustina’s - finish getting ready and primping.  Festive ribbons can be woven into/in place of your laces on the bodice.  Appropriate festive ribbon for this parade would be red, white and blue. Don’t forget your Festive head wear in red, white and blue. NO ROSES other than the color of the rose of the highest postion you have held in the Krewe

Thorns- we will be there to help you with anything as well.  Don’t forget your red, white and blue.

 

Everyone – Mimosa will be available.  Food will be served at staging.

 

The Parade: 
The float will depart promptly at 8:00 AM, 
Feel like a rock star & ride the float to the staging area, where we will set-up our float for the parade.  Staging information will be announced when it becomes available.  If you are not riding the float to and from staging (riding the float is recommended), our unit # will be announced when it becomes available. We are usually in Soccer area for staging.

 

The Post-Parade 
Ride the float VIP Style from the parade route, back to the parking lot.

**Pre Parade Float Prep and Bead Load on Friday night, November 6, 5pm to 7:30pm - we need to put finishing touches on our float and make sure she is clean and ready to go...(Volunteer hours available)

Gate code; 5473 and  #73 to get in, and the same process to get out.

 

**Float Clean up is on Sunday November 8 from 10am to 11:30am.

Please come out and give our float some tender loving care as we clean her up from the day before. You will get volunteer hours for the time you put in on the float.
