PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A CHANGE IN MEETING LOCATION TO CATCH THE FLOAT: OUR NEW LOCATION WILL BE THE PARKING LOT OF TJ MAX AT THE CORNER OF HILLSBOROUGH AND HANLEY. THE ADDRESS IS 7555 W. HILLSBOROUGH AVE. BE SURE TO PARK AWAY FROM THE STORE CLOSER TO THE STREET.

We're kicking off the parade season! The Annual Tampa Bay Veterans Parade is a great way to honor our Veterans, and it's also a good opportunity for our new members to learn how to parade! Consider this “Parading and Partying 101". This year will be a little different than in past few years, we will be meeting at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in the back parking area, this is where you will want to park (I suggest that we car pool if possible) We will help our Newbies finish dressing, so come with your skirt and blouse on and we will help rangle you into your corset. Get your pixie dust on and you will be ready to go!
We will accept guest Veterans for this parade: Please contact me at email@example.com if you wish to bring a veteran to ride the float. I will need their name and t-shirt size please.
Don't forget to bring a breakfast item and/or champagne and OJ (or any other adult beverage NO GLASS) with you!! We will have water and soda on the float. Please send an email to Jayme Rothberg with what you plan to bring so we don't get multiples of the same thing (ahem...doughnuts...).
Pre-Parade 7:00am to 8:00am:
Agustina’s - finish getting ready and primping. Festive ribbons can be woven into/in place of your laces on the bodice. Appropriate festive ribbon for this parade would be red, white and blue. Don’t forget your Festive head wear in red, white and blue.
Thorns- we will be there to help you with anything as well. Don’t forget your red, white and blue.
Everyone – Mimosa will be available. Food will be served at staging.
The float will depart promptly at 8:00 AM, Feel like a rock star & ride the float to the staging area, where we will set-up our float for the parade. Staging information will be announced when it becomes available. If you are not riding the float to and from staging (riding the float IS recommended), our unit # will be announced when it becomes available. We are usually in Soccer area for staging.
Ride the float VIP Style from the parade route, back to the Scottish Rite Masonic Center. We need to leave the Scottish Rite as quickly as possible, as there is a wedding that afternoon and they will need all the parking spaces.
How YOU Can Help!
This parade relies on food/beverage donations. All attendees can help by contributing breakfast finger foods (no fork and knife foods please. We need to keep things simple) orange juice or champagne. Water and sodas will be provided.
Please contact Jayme Rothberg - firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know what you will be bringing. As for the Champagne we have a General Meeting on November 4th you can bring the Champagne to the meeting so we can prepare the mimosa’s ahead and have them ready to serve. Please contact Jayme Rothberg our Libations Chair.

**Pre Parade Float Prep and Bead Load on 11/08 Friday night; 5pm to 7:30pm - we need to put finishing touches on our float and make sure she is clean and ready to go...(Volunteer hours available)

Gate code; 5473 and #73 to get in, and the same process to get out.
**Float Clean up is on Sunday 11/10 from 10am to 11:30am.
Please come out and give our float some tender loving care as we clean her up from the day before. (You will get volunteer hours for the time you put in on the float)
